When changing a flat battery and starting my Ford KA mk2 2011 Zetec, everything starts up fine, except the instrument cluster display for the odometer, time and date is not working/turning on. The rest of the lights on the dashboard come on completely fine and the speedometer and tachometer work fine too.

Pull the cluster forward and then disconnect the electrical connectors. Once the cluster is out you can see the two bulbs in the top. When the cluster is out make sure that the printed circuit is OK where the bulbs fit in as it's not uncommon for the bulb holders to damage it causing the lights not to work.
